Sam Solakyan – Chief Executive Officer
Sam Solakyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia and immigrated in 1988 with his parents, who came to America in search of higher education and a better life for their family. What they found was so much more. Having had instilled in him at an early age the value of a dollar and a true work ethic, Sam always strove to put his family first far above himself and worked whatever job was necessary to help his mother and father. From being a door to door salesman to cleaning the stock room of a grocery store, there was never a task he would shy away from. This mentality of hard work continued on into his teenage years when he purchased his first investment of a pager kiosk in a nearby mall co-owned by his father. Sam was only fourteen years old at the time.
From there, Sam’s entrepreneurial spirit continued to grow and with every risk that was taken even greater rewards ensued, but that wasn’t enough for Sam. He craved education and higher learning so while working full time he began his under graduate degree at the University of Phoenix where he later graduated with honors. With a bachelor’s degree in business management under his belt, Sam started building the enterprise that would launch him into corporate success and eventually lead to the formation of Paramount Management Services.
In 2003, Mr. Solakyan established Global Holdings, Inc. A holding group in Glendale, CA that specializes in MRI scans and workers comp and private injury cases. Within this holding group he formed four other major healthcare companies: Global Healthcare, Paramount Management Services, Global Pharmaceuticals, and Vital Medical Services.
Founded in 2003, Paramount Management Services, which has now evolved into a full service MSO, was designed to aid physicians who are looking for ways to simplify their business and create a more efficient work flow. Aiming to provide quality medical billing services to its clients, Paramount is committed to finding the best solution for the financial needs of said clientele. By taking on the all-consuming paper work that the office staff is forced to do, Paramount allows them to concentrate their focus on more crucial tasks and increases the physician’s returns from insurance carriers to its highest potential.
Consistently working to make Paramount all it could be, Mr. Solakyan recruited Bruce Roth in 2010 to manage the collections and medical billing process for the company. With his twenty years’ work with the State Compensation Insurance Fund, Mr. Roth’s experience and knowledge has been and continues to be an extremely beneficial asset to Paramount.
Most recently in his efforts to the expansion of the company, Sam has engaged Paramount with Sovrin Health Systems, another company devoted to the highest degree of revenue cycle management excellence. “I think together we can be unstoppable,” says Solakyan on the merger. “With our skills and expertise working together there is no doubt in my mind that we will both get the results we want.”
Though Sam has worked hard to expand his business and be a leader in his field, that isn’t the only thing we wants to do in life. Giving back to his community and to the world has always been on the forefront of Mr. Solakyan’s mind. His philanthropic endeavors range from scholarship programs to fighting back against child slavery and everything in between. “It’s not enough to make money and be successful in business,” he states firmly. “I’ve been given so much that it just isn’t right not to give back. That’s what’s important, not the business or the money, but the people that are all around us.” Sam continues to give to charities all throughout Los Angeles and the world.
At this time, Sam resides in Glendale, CA with his wife and two children, and he is currently pursuing his master’s degree at George Washington University.
